Timothy Jerome Battistelli is the founder and owner of First Response Legal, P.C., a veteran- and first responder–owned law firm dedicated to serving those who serve others. Tim attributes his focused, client-centered approach to family law, criminal defense, and estate planning to more than 16 years of public service and his own lived experiences.

Tim was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force and went on to serve his community for over 16 years as both a police officer and firefighter. His background in law enforcement gives him a unique and powerful perspective as a criminal defense attorney. Having worked inside the justice system, Tim understands police procedures, investigations, and how cases are built from the ground up—insight that allows him to anticipate strategies, identify weaknesses, and aggressively protect his clients’ rights.

At First Response Legal, Tim believes his effectiveness as an attorney and the strong connections he forms with clients stem from his firsthand understanding of the emotional, professional, and personal toll legal issues place on individuals and their families. He has personally experienced divorce and the complexities of raising children in a two-household environment while serving as a first responder.

This ability to draw from real-world experience sets Tim apart. He has stood where his clients stand, faced the pressures they face, and understands the importance of protecting what matters most—whether defending a client’s freedom, helping families plan for the future through thoughtful estate planning, or guiding clients through some of life’s most challenging transitions.
